I took a trip yesterday to the one place that has decent pastrami. I got one about a month ago in a local restaurant, but the bread was super-thick and not rye. Tonight's will be heavenly. I have a sour pickle to go on the side.

A "no cook" night, so it's off to the local sushi bar. First up: uni! Then a host of non-standards. If I leave without eating any tuna, it will be a victory for the plan.

Oh yeah, and sake. I could walk home if needed.

My son suggested adding Old Bay to the breading, which was a tasty addition. The pollock was rather delicate, as the fillets were thin, but at $3 a pound, I could hardly go wrong. Also had homemade tartar sauce, asparagus, and tator tots.

Dessert is walking to the park where my city's festival is being held, getting a bag of mini donuts, and eating them on the way home.
