I marinaded the pork cubes over night....ahhh I would try another marinade. Served with rice and I grilled a slice of watermelon for dessert

I used rind on triangles of ~1 inch thick pieces. I also put skewers through the triangles. After I cut the watermelon I patted it drier, rubbed brown sugar & a bit of adobe chili powder on both sides and grilled on the unused side of the grill. Maybe ~3min per side to get grill marks & carmalize sugars.I took it off the grill, cut the rind away and cut into smaller cubes. I did this last summer with a different rub, and I liked that one better, so I will have to Google for that recipe. I also have grilled stone fruits, like peaches and apricots.
The trick for me for grilling watermelon is a juicy tasty one first, do I try a slice or 2 before grill time.

Just finished making the pie crust. Time to use the oven again: it's a balmy 95F today. Where's my sweater?

Onions, celery, peas and carrots, the shredded chicken (of course). Then I pull it all together with a gravy of either chicken or turkey stock and a roux seasoned with thyme, garlic and Worcestershire sauce. No cream, though.

This time I added a couple of diced mushrooms, since they were getting close to the "use or lose" stage.

It has been quite cool. We had steak I bought at butcher block thick New York Strip...prime Angus, restaurant style baked potatoes, strawberry salad...and blue cheese for those who like it on the steaks...in honor of hubs first day off in a month.
