On the way home from the vet we stopped and got some just ground beef and some potato buns.

I got some hothouse beefsteak tomatoes to slice as well.

Not sure what will go with, lots of salad options and I'm going to cut up some white potatoes to oven fry.

Beautiful fall day here.

From two different directions, we rendezvoused at our mountain house in time to prepare dinner.

We marinated a salmon steak then grilled it along with a nice chunk of broccoli. Combined with a cheesy spaetzle, it was a delicious dinner. In the lower Catskills today, it was a lovely Autumn evening and with the fire pit blazing, it was quite comfortable to eat in front of the campfire.

We retreated inside for a dessert of white chocolates and red wine.

It was a good day.

The slow cooker tomorrow. Even if already cooked, they will get even more tender.

we were expecting our first freeze (barely, but still this is Arizona) and I jsut wanted to use the oven for a change. LOL did them at 200 for a couple more hours in the same dirty pan today, they were gone when I got home so I assume they came out better.
