Beef stew, made in the slow cooker. It has carrots, turnips, potatoes; i.e. the usual accompaniments. The RG told me how it's going to be served: in layers. First a layer of the stew, then a layer of either horseradish cream sauce or mustard. There's another layer but I forgot what he said.
I'm making warm spinach salad with bacon-mustard dressing. It also has mushrooms, hard-cooked eggs, and shallot. I'm using thick sliced applewood bacon and agave to sweeten the dressing a bit.
A little fruit for dessert--oranges, strawberries, and blueberries.
correction: When I arrived home, my spinach salad was moved until tomorrow. Tonight it's red and yellow pear tomatoes, Persian cukes, red onion, and basil.
Dessert was changed, too. The RG bought some fresh apricots and baked them. In the middle are cookie crumbles (dulce le leche) and granola, mixed with butter. For a topping, ricotta and something else, which I forgot.
