And I worry about you and supplies sometimes too!!
Sorry your CB&C didn't turn out well. Sounds like we might have used the same recipe (mine called for 30 min in the oven with a mustard/brown sugar glaze too)
Tonight, I made my friend's "Dano Sandwich." http://www.democraticunderground.com/11577521#post17

(53,661 posts)I'm still getting to observe life and to go out and participate, although not nearly at the rate I once did. I hate being confined to the house, but I guess it's phase many of us will have at some time or another. We're so blessed to live at this time and go through all the changes.

(31,170 posts)I'm glad you are able to get out...it definitely helps....as tough as it can be to navigate through them, these are interesting times.

Life is just fine.

(31,170 posts)So far she has had a plain flour tortilla and some TheraFlu.
I'm contemplating some garlic bread and juice, bot they both sound like an awful lot of trouble, so I may just stick to fluids.
Thanks so much for starting the dinner thread! I spent the day in bed and am just checking in.

Be well.

(31,170 posts)I keep getting a little better then slipping a few steps backwards. The weather seems to be really having an negative effect this year.

I cheated and bought the dough at Pavilions - in the deli/takeout section they have packaged pizza dough balls, white or whole wheat. So it's gonna be press, top, and bake - lickity split!

(35,675 posts)That sounds divine, and nuthin' wrong with pre-made dough. With work, we have to take our shortcuts.
Oh dear, Lucinda, so sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I hope you get better soon.
I just enjoyed food from this weekend: orecchiete with broccoli rabe and garlic, light tomato sauce.
My husband, who is in the culinary field, cooked up a storm. He roasted lamb and pork. He even made gravy with the bones from the lamb and the vegetables that had been roasted with it. It is divine over potatoes.
He also made an interesting salad with Brussels sprouts and crab apples, ginger, and little bits of prosciutto. It had a lot of citrus in it and he served it in shells made from oranges.
Of course, he invents his own recipes. He makes them up based on attractive items he finds at the greengrocer.
Anyway, I have lots of goodies to see me through the week!
And btw, I refuse to call them "leftovers." My thinking is that if you go to the store and buy food from the deli, that is prepared food made for later consumption. So what's the difference? "Leftovers" is an unappealing appellation.
(Like my alliteration? I'm an English teacher

(51,907 posts)Don't know what happened this time--I usually don't burn the stuff at the bottom of the pan. Anyway, enough left over to freeze for six more meals for two.
