So I now have a pound of dried hibiscus flowers

There’s a Mexican grocery store less than two miles from my house. I stop by there regularly because they have terrific produce prices and a real butcher. Plus, it’s a little exotic moment in my day, like going to Mexico without the trouble of traveling. They have a lot of ingredients I’m not familiar with and I like to pick up one or two and take them home to try out. Today I bought a big bag of dried hibiscus flowers. Can I do anything with them besides tea?

I've heard of others using them in marinades and sauces. Google is probably your best option. hlthe2b Feb 2019 #1

oh, and sorbets. I'd bet the latter would be tremendous!

Syrup, jelly, that sort of thing. Hibiscus cheesecake looks kind of interesting and may be worth a try.

sweetened and cold ("tea" as you may be thinking?) is so delicious and refreshing - make it strong. (I keep thinking it would be good with rum as well )
