I figure to give this a try. If it doesn't catch on, well, it doesn't catch on.

Now for some sleep and then back to the metaphorical coal mine.

Horribly bad for you. But easy and yummy. Lol

(6,602 posts)... when I'm working through the week I usually don't eat anything until 1:00-2:00, when my stomach wakes up.

(33,034 posts)The later I wait to eat in the first 8 hours I'm up, less food consumption.
I only ever eat breakfast when I'm on vacation. I got out of the habit when I was a kid, and had to attend a school I hated -- I had a stomacheache every morning.

(32,091 posts)I think my parents forcing me to eat as soon as I got up gave me a stomach ache on the way to school. I'm never hungry until I've been up and around for a couple hours.

(16,334 posts)I almost always eat a lunch or dinner kind of meal for breakfast. Then I eat a small late lunch or nibble of fruit. Then I eat a light dinner. I prepare enough dinner for me to eat it for breakfast. I find I feel better and sleep better after a light dinner.

(32,091 posts)Why eat if you're not hungry? I think the people who push eating breakfast right away as "good for you" are full of baloney.

(33,034 posts)Often I have a container of tuna salad +egg, for a quick high protein meal.
Cottage cheese +tomatoes(any size)+avocado scooped
+salsa/jalapenos.
Toast +peanut butter +/- sliced apple/banana.
Those are fast prep.
The other half of last nights dinner.
I try to do a protein burst for 1st meal.

(3,283 posts)Though I've changed the order a little. I now put down the oats and milk, then the peanut butter and a bit of salt (it's natural and unsalted peanut butter). After that I put half of the chia seeds, then half the yogurt, then the other half of the chia seeds, then the other half of the yogurt. Top with frozen fruit (raspberries are my favourite), into the fridge overnight. Bring it to work the next morning, stir it up at my desk, yummy breakfast!

(2,012 posts)My dear daughter died of lung cancer from smoking two years ago and this year my niece died and now her brother has lung cancer and is in chemo treatment. They all started smoking in their teens. They were told by the tobacco companies and the whole world that smoking was cool and "we all have to die from something". They were beautiful smart people who gave so much to the world. After the many years of research and treatment less than 5% of lung cancer victims survive more than two years after suffering through the horrors of chemo and immunotherapy treatment.

If we go out for breakfast, I'll have eggs and toast.
I'm not obsessive about my other meals. I'll eat anything except Jello, raw celery, and raw bell peppers.

(16,334 posts)I'm a bit under the weather. I found an abandoned leg/thigh quarter in the freezer (we're vegetarian now) and I made a small batch of soup for myself.
Now I'm hoping my people can figure out dinner on their own.
