(4,623 posts)We got great donut peaches and some sort of fancy nectarines from the farmer's market a couple days ago. Nice and sweet. Yum.

(38,579 posts)My b-day is next week, and I'm hoping someone remembers that I prefer a peach pie to any kind of birthday cake. It's nice when your b-day is right in the middle of peak-season for the fruit of your favorite pie.
(One year, I made one for myself. My son doesn't care for fruit pies, and I didn't want to eat the whole thing for myself. There was an older couple who lived across the street from me who would often sit outside on their front porch. I had never introduced myself to them, so I took this as an opportunity. I kept 1/4 of the pie for myself and walked the rest over to them. I asked them if they could help me eat it. They happily obliged.)

(4,623 posts)Those little donut peaches are soooo good. We had some very tasty white ones, too.
Happy early Birthday! I hope you get your pie.
Mine was last week and Mom surprised me with a homemade chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. It was so moist and delicious. Plus, Mom and Dad (and Alexa, lol) sang happy b-day, candles and all. I felt like I was a kid again except for the huge fire blazing from the candles atop the cake (and my silly tears, it's been wonderful to see them again). It was great.
Peach cobbler is my fav, but I would never, ever say no to peach pie. Yay for summer!

(35,730 posts)I mashed my avocado and put in lime juice, olive oil, Maldon salt, and sprinkled Japanese seasonings.
A few avocados complemented it.
In a bit, raspberries and cantalope.
