What's for Dinner, Sun., Dec. 15, 2019

Mixed vegetable curry with tofu and cashews. Veggies are cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, miniature potatoes, the kind that are about 1.5 inches in diameter, tiny green beans and baby zucchini.

Dessert will be blueberries and either vanilla pudding or ice cream to top it.

This is the final performance of NYC’s Yorkville Nutcracker and the Landlady(!) has a featured role as the Maid.

The closing night dinner is a smorgasbord of culinary delights!

Years ago before my allergy was diagnosed I ate tofu & granola bars with soybeans every day ... & I felt worse & worse. I remember making out a will & sending what I believed would be my last Christmas cards because I literally couldn't imagine myself being alive for another Christmas ... I was going downhill so fast I was convinced I would be dead in 6 months or so. Until the 3rd doctor I went to said "you might have a food allergy" & referred me to a specialist. That specialist discovered my soy allergy & saved my life.

is an amazing story.

Glad the specialist knew what was happening. I'll bet you were relieved to know it was something so simple!
