Pasta with tomato sauce made with prosciutto. The sauce is made with a shallot and finely chopped garlic. The prosciutto is then put in in strips until it is fairly crispy, followed by the tomatoes.
The pasta is a "find" that the RG found during this pandemic. We started patronizing one particular grocery store and they carry it. He likes it because it comes from Naples, where pasta originated.
I made a tossed green salad with vegetables to go with it.
Dessert will be vanilla Swiss almond ice cream with tea biscuits.

(8,332 posts)Saturdays chicken, Sundays steak, rice, broccoli, summer squash, grilled peaches for dessert.
Everything but the peaches are reheats. Will fire up the grill for the peaches.

(22,037 posts)It's been a raw, chilly day in the mountains so the Landlady(!) decided to roast a turkey breast to warm up the house. She's making her own stuffing and gravy. I'm going to make a large spinach salad with sliced cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, Vidalia onions and slices of celery topped with oil and vinegar.
I think I have a Chardonnay to go with the meal.
For dessert she's baking an apple pie and that'll be served with Wisconsin cheddar cheese, of course. (I'm a cheesehead.)

(12,253 posts)Tonight, I'm baking chicken thighs with lots of garlic, tarragon, and butter in a white wine sauce. Mashed potatoes and steamed Brussels sprouts round it out. Oh! And bread again! Home made bread I am so grateful to be able to eat.

(1,883 posts)So not planting it at the new place. One of the best uses I found was to steam some halibut wraped in tarragon. Try it.
