NC Zucchini

Having trouble. The plants are huge with many huge blossoms. The blossoms die off, Veg starts to grow and then the problem occurs. It seems the veg gets about 3 inches long and just turns to mush. So fricking odd. Any suggestions??

Sounds like they don't get pollinated - likely due to low bee incidence. NRaleighLiberal Jul 2013 #1

You can try hand pollinating - take a male flower (long thin stem) and brush the pollen against the center of the female flowers (with the small developing squash)

We have a lot of bees in the yard and garden. I purposely let the clover take over in a large area near the garden to attract them and it has worked. They are all over. I see the small Zucchini starting to grow, they are firm, but when they get to 3 - 4 inches, they turn to mush.
