Well, now I'm starting to get excited.

It's starting to feel like really (really, really) early spring here. One of the large lakes I drive by ever day is about half opened up. A few tentative sprouts are popping up here and there, daffodils, crocus foliage (no buds yet by any means), and I think the pussy willow and aspen catkins should start to open soon.

If it's decent this weekend, I think I'm going to work on cleaning out and prepping the greenhouse for the spring onslaught, and start thinking about doing some late winter pruning of fruit trees and berry bushes.

Yeah, spring!

I made an a-frame that can hold six full trays and has double grow lights over each tray. I know where MOST of the parts are, but may have to reproduce some. It's been a while since I used it.

I try to keep things required to do a project together, but either I slip up, or someone else gets into them and disturbs them.

And, of course, I often forget where I put the stuff, even if it is all in one place.

Sunday afternoon was a protracted, hour long treasure hunt to find the equipment to tap my maple. I thought I'd left everything together, all in one place. Of course, the first issue was, where was that safe place.

And, then, after finding the safe place, not everything required was there. So, it was another protracted hunt to find the right sized wood boring drill bit.
