(5,756 posts)I think every dog owner should get a harness for walking their dog. I hate it when I see poor dogs jerking their necks at the end of a leash. It's just painful to watch.
Also, there have been some good articles about how you can't tell worth crap what breed/mix a dog is by just looking at it posted here on DU. Google for them.
What is it? Pretty Darned CUTE I'd say.

(14,807 posts)Light on his feet being able to seem to fly effortlessly onto higher landing points. Not yippy but a good sized bark with a wide range of vocalizations. Likes to pretend dig. The Shelter had thought him Westie-Poo but a groomer thought Westie-Bischon. He has slightly wirey feeling hair on parts of his body. I see terrier as a large portion of him. Maybe even Wire haired Terrier? Or if you take a Wheaten and mate it with a Wire Haired Doxie. lol! He is super smart, fast and playful. Sleeps under blankets.

(14,807 posts)Gave the gift of life (although I guess a lot of inquires started to come in 24 hours after being on Petfinder) marking the one year anniversary of my mom passing. We have had him for, I think, five months now. Had to train him to not go after my cats as it was apparent that that was instinct from day one. Terrier.
Was hard to find a Terrier or X that would get along with the kits and other senior dogs because they are strong willed and smart.Still working on training but is going really well now. Not so much at first.

(14,807 posts)One groomer thought so. But...eh..... wish DNA tests were more accurate. I would love to do one on him. Here is a long view. His nickname is Porkchop due to his buff short legs and pig's feet look

(2,791 posts)That's my Riley's nic - she's 1/2 Shiba Inu, 1/2 Am. Staff. Terrier. Her short little legs are shaped just like porkchops. Long version: HRH Princess Porkchop.
And just look at Master Porkchop in his kilt! Riley would swoon!

(14,807 posts)Murphey's legs are very muscular and his feet look like pig's feet too!
I am miffed at the shutdown because I bought this Kilt on Ebay in the uK and now the Shop has been instructed NOT to sell to us and Canada calling us "risks". I love their stuff and this wool blend hand pleated Kilt was only about $36.

I wanted a red one also although BlackWatch seems to be his thing.
