(14,807 posts)Was working with the woman that co-ordinates it (Spay/neut part) and she encouraged me to tame them and adopt them out since they and others were turning away lots of cats and kittens everywhere. I heard some horrible stories. Very sad. I, along with a few others are trying to do it on our own but they would have helped but the Clinics are full. Shiva might have a "mishap" before then with her brother. Then they babies would be ill most likely with heart deformities, etc....
This is a bad bad year for ferals in MN. There are waiting lists to get into places.
We never have any strays where we live south of Brainerd. This is unusual but now the babies are being worked on and I see the mother has resumed living in the hole under the shed. I will try to finally get her as I home these two and get them up to date and ready to go. She must not live another year in 30 below. She used to be someone's pet because she tried to run into our house last winter but my four dogs scared her away.
I won't be back for funds though on her.....I will hopefully now have a bit of a break....sort of and then maybe have the time to sell a few things on Ebay to pay for her if and when the time comes.
