Has anyone had a senile dog they put on drugs

My dog is very senile. He is around 15 (I found him 13 years ago in April and he was about a year and a half at the time). He wanders the house, goes to the hinge side of doors, gets stuck in corners, that kind of thing. I was looking online and a drug that people use for parkinsons is suggested. My vet didn't suggest anything for senility. So I am wondering if anyone has tried anti senility drugs for their dogs and if so how they worked.

For what that's worth. She wouldn't get stuck in corners but I had to keep her from getting under tables and chairs, where she would get stuck.

By that time, she was toward the end of her life. We didn't give her anything except the occasional thing for pain.

one of my neighbor's dear old cocker spaniels. Poor thing - she bumped into stuff and seemed to get "lost" all the time. About the same age as your dog. He finally restricted her space, and luckily had a one-story place so no stairs to worry about. She also became more clingy with him, so he had to constantly check to be sure she wasn't underfoot. Whenever he sat down for awhile to watch TV, he held her on his lap. Great owner, like YOU!

I pm'd you, dsc.

I have lived on one floor for years now and am glad for that as he really doesn't do stairs anymore. He also sits on my lap as we watch tv and he is constantly underfoot when I cook and clean. I pmed you back hope the info helps.
