Service dogs are awesome!

Sorry, I wasn't able to take pictures, but today at lunch I saw two service dogs, helping two nice ladies who were seated at another table. The dogs were very well-behaved and didn't wander over to take anybody's food, though I think one of them looked at my ice cream a little closely when he was about to leave.

I just wanted to say I really respect these critters and the folks who train or own them. A good thing to have, these days.

I love all dogs but I have seen some service dogs and I think they are pretty incredible.

Have you read "A Dog's Purpose"? I always think of that book when I see a service dog.

I just love the idea of using comfort dogs in court for a witness that has to really struggle to testify especially victims of horrible violence. To have to relive that especially in front of the perpetrator has got to be just awful, and they're all alone on the stand without a hand to hold to get through it. Providing comfort dogs for them has helped them immensely. There seems to be no end to what service dogs can do.
