Related: About this forumPlease welcome me in joining our new Family member: Sir Duke
Hubby thought of Duke at first and then I realized, since he's an english setter, he deserved a proper name: Sir Duke.
And then I realized Sir Duke is one of my favorite songs ever! He's a two year old English Setter. We adopted him from the Welfare league of Alexandria.
So . he has a theme song that matches his personality and the feeling it bring with him coming home to us!

HE is soft and furry and squishy! He's still a little skinny, but he's a great boy!

(38,506 posts)WE had to say good by to our Kizzy girl last February. I took her passing really hard, but sometime during the holidays my husband asked if we could maybe start looking for another rdog.
it was strange, a few friends also started saying that it was time we got another dog. So we decided after xmas and new years was over we would start to look. When we first saw him he wasn't ready to adopt, but we both kept coming back to look and we were both drawn to him.
We met him on Thursday and knew we were all a family.

(11,589 posts)I told him *bed* and he went to his bed until we were done with with dinner.
someone helped him learn really good manners. Even the cats are figuring out he is no threat.
I am so in love!
