Injured toucan to get prosthetic beak

Squee here

From the article:

The Costa Rican bird, Grecia, was attacked by a group of young people and has had to be hand-fed since. Now a group of 3D printing services in that country are volunteering to create a new beak for the bird. People have created such beaks for eagles and penguins previously, but this may be the first one made for a toucan.

It is the best feature.....even if you don't consider it is needed for food intake.

The most shocking part of this story is that the bird was "attacked by a group of young people".....OMG, how sick.
