(3,595 posts)and the talk got to their dogs and how they got them.
Slim: Well, my dog is a German Shepard. We called 'em police dogs back then. And I remember watching Rin Tin Tin on television when I was a kid and Rinny saved Rusty from a rattlesnake. I thought that was great so I got me a German Shepard.
Tex: Well, I got me a Collie. I remember watching Lassie when I was a kid and the time Timmy fell down an abandoned well and Lassie ran home and got Gramps to follow her back to the well where Timmy was stuck and saved Timmy. I always gits Collies since then.
Buck: Well, I got me a Dachshund.
Slim, Tex (In unison) A Dachshund?
Tex: Whatcha got one of them fer?
Buck: Well, when I was a young'un, my dad brought us home a new radio and the first song I heard on it was this guy singing something about, "Git a long, little doggie."

I cannot believe how fast the time has gone since we got him as a pup.

(9,958 posts)How did you make home made Frosty Paws?
1 qt plain yogurt
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 bananas
Put it all in the blender and mush it up. Freeze in ice cube trays then pop out into freezer bags.
You can adjust the amount of peanut butter and bananas. I've used a jar of banana baby food when laziness set in.
Easy and much less expensive than the real product.
