Pet loos

Might need to try one of these soon:

http://www.amazon.com/UGODOG-Indoor-Dog-Potty/dp/B00152R5YQ/ref=sr_1_10?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1432405887&sr=1-10&keywords=dog+potty

Daughter is moving into her first apartment soon, and my little terrier will be at home for longer periods of time without me being able to let him out for potty breaks. (I occasionally work eleven hour shifts.)

My dog is fully house-trained but has the occasional "accident" if we've been away for longer stretches of time. And they are accidents - he definitely prefers going outside.

So.... has anybody here had success using these "pet loo" systems? Any tips or advice on how to train an old dog (he'll be nearly ten) to learn new tricks?

it looks like a great idea. Like a kitty litter box except no digging. Does it have absorbent material under the grid or do you just rinse it out?

this system can be used with or without training pads or newspaper. The solid waste remains on top of the grates, and can be removed easily and flushed. Wet waste filters to bottom tray. Most commentators say they simply dump the tray into the toilet as needed, spray with a dog safe cleaner and rinse.
