Portland photographer says last goodbye to dog in video tribute

If you have functioning tear ducts, your drought situation will be momentarily relieved.

Dogs are called man’s best friend for a reason. And no one knew that reason better than Portland-based photographer, Ben Moon.

Moon and his dog, Denali, have had an unbreakable bond for over 14 years. Moon first got Denali when he was 24 years old, after a relationship had just fallen apart.

The pair has traveled all over the West Coast, living a nomadic lifestyle as Moon was taking pictures for Patagonia and other clients.

“He was just my travel companion and such an adventure buddy,” Moon told Oregon Public Broadcasting. “And he gave me the courage to start over in a lot of ways.”
