Related: About this forumI've had the neighbor's dog all weekend...
she's so small and we are used to big dogs. She seems like a puppy even though she's not. Still, it's nice to have something curl up on the couch next to me. She's beside me right now.
She sleeps a lot like most dogs.
I am glad my neighbors are dog people. They get a dog sitter and I get some doggy time. It's a win-win situation!

(14,498 posts)I feel like I'm under 24-hr. surveillance. ( Which I probably AM.... but it's more likely by the gov't.)
Seriously.... seems you've got the best of both possible worlds.
(Psssst: i think BIG dogs are smarter and better human-companions.)

(16,334 posts)I have been missing the big dog thump sounds since I lost my last big dog.
This little one is so quiet. She hops up and down on things like a cat.

(43,049 posts)are actually freaks of nature, perhaps invented by some madman, combining the size and agility of cats with the vocal chords of nervous dogs.
Good you got a quiet one. (Sure it's not really a cat?)

(16,334 posts)the neighbor's dog. I remember when they got her. We all said "That's not a REAL dog!"
But she is smart and sweet - and cat-like.

(70,113 posts)bosco. we rescued her from an overwhelmed neighbor. she stayed w my mom when i got married. she was her good buddy. she was a really good little dog.
funny that my mom was always the obstacle to getting a dog when we were kids. then she kept bosco, and when she passed, i got her a little cocker that ate the last bite of every meals she had for 15 years. he was a bit of a trouble maker, but a great companion.
i have 2 terriers and 2 big bully dogs. i love them all for different reasons. but the little dogs are def little dogs.
