By Jove, I think they've got it!

Ten days ago I started introducing wet food to my foster five. Well not seriously until about Sunday when they turned four weeks old. I would put them in front of it but they were looking for the bottle. I spooned it into them with a plastic spoon until they finally got used to it. "It" is a soup made with canned cat food, dry kitten milk replacer powder, and hot water mixed to make a soupy tasty mess. Especially messy when they find it fun to put both front feet into the dish as they eat!

Today I put each one in front of their dish and---they all ate with no prompting! Yay for me, what a time saver. Then they toddled off to their bed to sleep it off.

They are so cute when they eat: their little tails quiver and their ears wiggle and they make loud slurping sounds!

The cuteness...it burns

Our cat that passed away last week was a black cat, so seeing this little row of adorableness of perfect black kitties just makes my world a little better.

So freaking cute

But not because of their sex, as they are all females!

Dora is the black and white tuxie --that's easy
Diana has a small patch of white at the throat and lower abdomen, and no white hairs coming out of her ears.
Danielle also has a small white patch at the throat and a larger white patch on the lower abdomen, and she does have white hairs coming out of her ears.
Desiree is all black but has long white hairs on arms and legs, and her lower abdomen hair is more sparse.
Dolly is also all black but is fuzzier with more hair on lower abdomen, fewer white hairs, and a fuzzier face than Desiree.

That's how I does it!

Personalities are starting to emerge. Like Dora is the first to try everything, climbing up stuff, trying the dry kibble first, and Danielle likes to lie on her back with feet waving in the air looking so super cute! Dolly has the deepest pitch to her meow. Diana and Desiree are the two who had to have the special nipple, an elongated one, or they couldn't seem to get any milk out of their bottles.

are the best, IMHO. (see my avatar pic)

I love anyone who nurtures babies of any species. God bless all the the animal mommies out there who take care of baby critters, whether dog, cat, hamster, monkey, hedgehog, turtle, horse, giraffe, elephant, mouse, human. Mamas are special!
