Random acts of puppy behavior
I knew that if it worked, my 15 yr old would experience less pain, be able to get up and move more easily. Did not expect her attitude to change so much. After 6 acupuncture and laser therapy sessions, my senior dog has turned into senior puppy.
Chewing random stuff (esp fond of art supplies like pencils, wooden brush handles): check
Rummaging through the kitchen like a bear through a dump: check
Rolling around seeking constant belly rubs: check
Playing with toys she hasnt touched in years: check
She is more awake and alert which also means she has more energy to be stubborn. You know when dogs are young, they love it when you call their name? For some reason after the age of around 11, each of the dogs we have had quit getting excited ...more of blah blah the feeders are talking again. Jazz has been no exception..used to just run run run to us, now realizes we aren't that exciting. So now she is getting into stuff - big nose snorting through shelves, stacks of clothes, yanking blankets off furniture, tossing pillows on the floor. When she was younger, you could say her name to get her attention and she would stop.
No no no, and it isn't because she is hard of hearing...she just DGAF. She knows after 15 yrs with us she isn't really going to get in trouble..so we speak sternly to her, pfft she just gives us a head tilt and big brown eyes and we melt.
So combine puppy-like curiosity with more energy and the wisdom and experience of knowing what the "consequences" are...and she is having a blast. She is a bad influence on our 11 yr old german shepherd (we have only had him for 7 yes, so we are still exciting to him)...he just watches her forage around and looks at us like "aren't you going to do something"
Obviously, she is supervised...I investigate what she is investigating and make sure she is not ingesting anything harmful or going to hurt herself. But otherwise,I just let her explore stuff because it is so great to see her alert and happy. I just have to start puppy proofing a little better with food and art supplies.

If you look closely you can see the little acupuncture pins - just before I took this she was playing hide n seek (or trying to escape) and wedged herself between the wall and exam table. I wasn't quick enough for that pic.

And she puts herself in 'jail'
