Rescuing Nala: Pit bull freed after being trapped in car tire rim for hours

I just found this and wanted to share. Bad puppy, good puppy, poor puppy. What puppies do to get in trouble? Everything.

Nala’s owner, Jasmine Bonilla, had let the dog out to use the bathroom. When Bonilla called out for her minutes later, she said, there was no response.

Then she spotted Nala in the tire and called authorities.

Animal Control Officer Mike Rodriguez arrived first. He tried “every way possible” to free the 5-month-old, 30-pound pit bull before calling Chief Animal Control Officer John De Cando and telling him, “I think we’re going to need the Fire Department.”...(more)

I can't make the picture come through but please check it out. Poor puppy.
There are more pictures at the article link, click through them as they are something.

(this one doesn't post for me either - weird)

and from the article...

After Nala was freed, one firefighter remarked that it was like delivering a baby.

Bonilla said that another firefighter asked, “Where’s the cigars?”

So glad this had a happy ending!

Why put your head through a metal rim? Because it was there?

angel alex the wonder dog was very very food motivated, so the cat food was on top of the dresser in the computer room. one crumb fell to the floor, under the dresser. alex went for it. sure good luck i was there. sweet dog, just dim. hope she puppy proofed the yard, they can be very inventive.
