Sleeping with our golden retriever

As I said he is nine years old and Saturday he pulled a hip muscle. And he has troubles climbing the stairs and getting into bed. Last night he was excited as I was adding air to our bed the air mattress he was wagging his tail oh the man and me are getting ready for bed. He loves to go to bed he has always snuggled with the wife and I.
So I get the wood stove roaring heat feels good to him. And I make our bed and he climbs on it happily. Then I go and sit on the couch with my wife, and he starts reading us the riot act. With rrrr’s and golden moans , and the yips started then the barking. Come to bed man it’s time to snuggle what a bossy dog. I woke up around 0500 heard my wife coming down the stairs and golden boy and I were spooning.
