Update on Sammy and his beautiful eyes...

after another check up and still seeing the squinting and red eyes and lashes rolling in, we opted for surgery. Ulcers had been starting to form from all the scratching.

He was home the same afternoon and then the fun with the dreaded cone started. It was hard to keep him from destroying it and he finally figured out how to pop it off by ramming into something. I found a comfy cone (which isn't transparent but fit better and was softer) and he healed nicely. His eyes are so big and bright now!

I'm glad we did it and would have done it sooner if dogs could talk.

My sis used one of those comfy cones when her dog had to have her eye removed, it worked out well.

They depend on us and we depend on them.

.. I have an acquaintance who makes these out of soft fabric...stylish and comfy.
