My doggies playing "find it" when it was too cold to go walk

I don't know if I am training sent work correctly, since I can't find a class close to home, but it sure gives my two little buddies a fun game that tires their little doggie brains on a frigid day (last Wednesday, when the cold brought things to a standstill here in KY).

That the particular scent in the box meant "treat" when they smelled it by holding it out to them while saying "find it" then treating them for smelling it. Gradually I have been treating for looking at me when they find it.

My boy (Shelby), the tri-color, was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at 10 months old, and I had gotten him to continue my dog agility hobby my girl (Layla) had gotten me into; so I have been finding other activities for the Shelbs.
