October is crack for kitties month

Yes, Temptations cat treats has come out with a limited edition called Mummy Mixups for Halloween. I didn't know that cats have calendars, but apparently the marketing geniuses realized that humans do. I saw the new flavor at the store and had to buy it.

They're not even that crazy about people food. As long as they have unlimited access to their grain-free kibble and canned food once a day, they're happy. My latest rescue, Rosie, is one of the 30% of cats who don't react to catnip. I have lived with almost 100 cats in my lifetime and she's the first.

Great packaging!

and not much interest in people food.
I had one that had a thing for fried chicken and would hover over me when I brought some into the house.

Then there was the one who ate tomatoes (bit them in the garden)

Finally, I have had 3 tuxedo cats and all of them loved corn on the cob. One would steal the cobs and stash them around the house.

Since 1987 I have had 20 cats altogether. Only 4 of them like catnip but the ones who do are really into it. We've also been fostering some kittens (makes my total 23) and all 3 of them are addicted.

catnip a few times, he did start reacting to it. Maybe Rosie has never been exposed to catnip before.
