I've not heard of feed a cat fermented goat milk before

My partner took our dear kitty Eula to the vet today for a checkup. I hear she pulled out all the stops and charmed the pants off everyone! In discussing diet with my partner, the vet suggested we feed her fermented goat milk. Is this a new thing? Or am I just totally out of the loop on cat diets? I mentioned this to a co-irker today at work, and apparently she has heard of this. She said the stuff smells terrible.

Either whey the goat milk is typically more digestible. Cats have been eating clabbored milk or fermented milk since there were hungry cats. Not at all unusual. Mix some into the food.
