After 18 wonderful years, Twilight went across the 🌈 rainbow

bridge today. She has had a host of issues this last year. I was giving her B12 shots, a special diet and probiotics to treat one issue and it seemed to be working but she started hiding herself and I knew there were so many issues that more tests would not help and I can't stand cats in pain.

She was born in Montreal. When I brought her home as a kitten, I placed her under an overturned laundry basket in order to meet Monster the cat safely. It was not necessary. He adored her. She slept on the pillow beside me as a young cat. She visited with her grandparents and was named by my niece. And she slept on top of me when I'd first go to bed in later years. When I'd kiss her on the head she'd purr and purr. We got really close after Monster died. When I brought Captain Hughey home, she wanted nothing to do with a kitten but was sweet about the interloper. He grew up to be an alpha and she figured out he was afraid of the crinkly tunnel so she's go there if he wanted to chase her. Captain Hughey went too far one day and got a long claw mark down his nose. I kept her claws long and his short. In the last year they would both sleep on the bed. She had the softest fur I've ever seen on a cat. She had the loudest meow for such a tiny cat and used it at every meal time. My sweet, sweet babycat.

She had a can of wet food when we woke up today. She had a tuna treat at the vets. They were wonderful.

I lost my beautiful cat - who I had found as a kitten - earlier this month and I miss him so much, I keep looking for him, expecting to see him in his usual spots, so I know. And they were very kind at his vet's too.
