Well, that was fun.

I have to give Carys oral flea medicine because she freaks out if I try a topical. I mix a crushed pill in some extra tasty wet food and it works like a charm.

Today I had to put myself between her, her food, and the rest of the kidcats who were DETERMINED to steal her 'treat'. 4 against 1 is very unfair. I managed to protect her long enough for her to gobble down the delicious, albeit spiked, tuna/salmon shreds.

Gryff had a reaction to a topical treatment. My friend said she had the same problem with a couple of her black cats. Fortunately I'm able to comb him and use other kinds of treatments.

I need a nap.

I miss my kitties. Always had a cat, all lived until their "teens". I am now too old and have health issues and my situation does not allow me to adopt another kitty. I sure miss having one around. I follow your posts and it gives me joy. Thanks for all you do.

. . . of their antics, a houseful of 2-yr-old kids would be a picnic compared to the kits.

Unfortunately, I can't allow any of mine outside. I live along a pretty busy highway and there are cayotes, owls and hawks in the woods behind the house. So it is not safe for cats to be outside. I now have two electric litter boxes and whenever I have extra money plan on getting a couple more. Amazing how much easier it is even with just two. All of the cats prefer different foods and none of them like pate', only the shreds and just one kind of dry food. They are more picky than I ever allowed my kids to be.

I'd love to bring all of the kittens inside but I'm lucky that the ones I have all get along so well. I just do my best to keep the outdoor ones loved, fed and sheltered.
