25 degrees and heavy frost this morning, but Molly doesn’t mind. She and I both have more energy in cooler weather. First walk this morning took us around the yard/meadow, between the barns, along the creek, and down the road a ways before heading back inside for breakfast.

She’s napping warm on her bed now.
I’m about to make a big kettle of apple butter. I have enough apples to make some spicy apple slices, too. Lots of apple-y cinnamon goodness to enhance the cozy at home. Plenty for our pantry and for winter holiday gifts, too. Chanukah’s first candle is December 7 this year.

I spent time doing some yard and garden clean up and the experience was miserable. Well, except that little Dylan stopped by to keep me company.

The little kittens are all sleeping. I'll go in when they start moving around and check their eyes. They looked OK, this morning. I like to stretch out on the couch and cuddle with them.

Tomorrow should be the day Ember's new mom picks her up. It will be warm enough for the other two to rejoin their friends but they will be able to use the enclosed back porch for shelter, if they need it.

You haven't noticed that his regular name is Handsome, Madoc is his alternate name for strangers to use.
