I foolishly tried to extend my time in bed. Madoc was having NONE of that nonsense.
The other kidcats sat around and watched while he pawed at the duvet, determined to push or pull it off of me. I persisted. He persisted. When attack ended, I opened my eyes and he started to give me slow blinks. OK, that's not fair. What else could I do but get out of bed and feed them?
Now he and Arthur are on my lap, looking quite content.

I love the way a group of cats, I think this is universal, will sit around as if at a theatrical event and observe while one of them, usually either the eldest, youngest or known dominant, performs the task of disrupting your sleep!
Naps are the natural answer to that issue.
