25 Deadliest Mass Shootings in U.S. History

(CNN) —Here is a list of the 25 deadliest single day mass shootings in U.S. history from 1949 to the present. If the shooter was killed or committed suicide during the incident that death is not included in the total.

Timeline: 32 killed - April 16, 2007 - Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. A gunman, 23-year-old student Seung-Hui Cho, goes on a shooting spree killing 32 people in two locations and wounds an undetermined number of others on campus. The shooter, Seung-Hui Cho then committed suicide.

27 killed - December 14, 2012 - Sandy Hook Elementary School - Newtown, Connecticut. Adam Lanza, 20, guns down 20 children, ages 6 and 7, and six adults, school staff and faculty, before turning the gun on himself. Investigating police later find Nancy Lanza, Adam's mother, dead from a gunshot wound. The final count is 28 dead, including the shooter.

23 killed - October 16, 1991 - In Killeen, Texas, 35-year-old George Hennard crashes his pickup truck through the wall of a Lubys Cafeteria. After exiting the truck, Hennard shoots and kills 23 people. He then commits suicide.

a gun can be used by a bad person for a bad thing. Same as many other things. But hundreds of millions have not been used that way and are used safely over that same time span.

I doubt he will be back to discuss his post, would be nice but not going to happen.

It would be interesting to hear the OP's thoughts on the issue. Alas, he seems to lack the cognitive ability to actually discuss the issue; prefers to Google Dump and move on.

given his posting history in this group. I have seen no one on the pro-RKBA side "belittle" anyone. Not sure where you are going with the " fantastic excuses regarding screen names" meme.

Oh, well. Run away if you are unable to actually engage in a discussion regarding the issues.

Don't let the door hit you.

Curious on what that is about

I think the OP is afraid of discussion and actual facts, but since he refuses to enter a discussion we will never know.

Nope, what you're afraid of is honest, open debate, where your views might get challenged with verifiable facts instead of conjecture, allegations, and downright lies that you seem to love to post.

the other group that he hosts gets very little traffic, especially since one of his biggest fans seems to have pulled a vanishing act, so he has to post here and in GD to get his 15 minutes of fame.

about us posters in this group, can you just make a comment on the story that you cut and paste so we may be privileged by your position and discuss your position since you refuse to do that with us?

I am shocked you actually posted. I give you credit for stating your reason, even if I think it is wrong.

That had an "assault weapons" ban in effect.

Almost as if... AWBs did nothing to prevent mass slaughter.

Hmph.
