Seems like the "common sense" gun control is not working out as planned...
Gee, who would have thunk it?! Too bad the SAFE act, simply does not apply to criminals. (US vs HAYNES 1968)
Already this year, New York has seen 184 shooting victims citywide as of March 8, an increase of nearly 22 percent compared to the same period last year, NYPD data show

Add to that, that there have been many accounts of underreporting and misclassification of crimes in NY.
One can only wonder if/how much similar has been done in the case of shootings.
