Until then I won't be holding my breath based on "investigative journalism". But it is fun to see the excitement and frothing at the mouth of the "usual suspects".

Seems to be the same people that promised all of us that Cheney was going to be arrested any minute ... for two years.

I can't wait to find out how the author tracked his "multiple small donations" to discover that they went from the training a safety side to the ILA political side of the NRA.

Maybe Chris Cox personally endorsed the check for deposit?

But I feel kinda sorry for them (not really). They have so little to cling to in the way of "wins" any more.

Maybe a hidden post every few weeks, a gun related post that lasts more than 10 minutes in GD, an actual post in the "Activism" forum by one of the three regulars, are all causes to rejoice for them.

There is a handful in GD that is just happy that somebody is at least lying to them about what they want to hear.

Lies, damn lies and statistics; there are the 3 most often used lies: 'your check is in the mail', 'of course I'll respect you in the morning' and 'we're from ____ gun-control and you can trust us'.

responsible for running the NRA's PACs and is shocked to discover his money ended up in a NRA PAC?

The National Rifle Association is composed of four financially interconnected organizations under common leadership.[131]

The National Rifle Association is a 501(c)(4) membership association. It raises money, recruits members and volunteers, and engages in various activities primarily relating to firearms.

The NRA Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA) manages the NRA's Political Action Committee (PAC). Some of its activities include retaining lobbyists to support gun-rights legislation and election operations such as the purchase of campaign advertising.

The NRA Civil Defense Fund is a 501(c)(3) that does pro-bono legal work for people with cases involving Second Amendment rights. As of December 2012, it was litigating in 35 states cases concerning the possession, use, and carrying of firearms.

The NRA Foundation is also a 501(c)(3) that raises and donates money to outdoors groups and others such as ROTC programs, 4-H and Boy Scout groups. The NRA Foundation has no staff and pays no salaries.[132]

And he screwed up the info on Cox, who is not responsible for 8 NRA divisions but 8 NRA-ILA divisions - in other words, all of NRA's political finance.
