New tool available about guns, the industry and the lobby from Everytown!

They offer an email newsletter about the gun industry called The Smoking Gun. Information about gun makers, the lobby, advertising and the products they make. There's shit here I had no idea even existed! Folding rifles that fit in the average school backpack and exploding targets, Oh My!

I wonder what the market is for this one? Backpacking to enjoy nature in it's pristine beauty . . . and blow shit up? Disclaimer: not effective as a bear deterrant as it's only powerful enough to kill people.

folding gun and the "exploding targets" are only sold as boxed sets.
Both have been available for sale individually for ages.
Both can be used legally and illegally.
Both can be used responsibly and irresponsibly.
Prosecute the crimes as they occur.

Bush pilots, for example, sometimes carry bags full of shit they might need should their plane malfunction out in the middle of nowhere. A pistol caliber carbine could be used to deter predators, or to hunt small game.

As others have noted, these things have been around for decades.
