New Fashion Wrinkle: Stylishly Hiding the Gun

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/24/us/fashion-statement-is-clear-the-gun-isnt.html?_r=4
Woolrich, a 182-year-old clothing company, describes its new chino pants as an elegant and sturdy fashion statement, with a clean profile and fabric that provides comfort and flexibility.

And they are great for hiding a handgun.

The company has added a second pocket behind the traditional front pocket for a weapon. Or, for those who prefer to pack their gun in a holster, it can be tucked inside the stretchable waistband. The back pockets are also designed to help hide accessories, like a knife and a flashlight.

The chinos, which cost $65, are not for commandos, but rather, the company says, for the fashion-aware gun owner. And Woolrich has competition. Several clothing companies are following suit, building businesses around the sharp rise in people with permits to carry concealed weapons.

What we now call khakis used to be called chinos.

9. Zimmerman is simply a well known example of law-abiding gun carrier who used it on unarmed kid.

I suspect I'll use it right up until the gun crowd stops promoting more guns and lax laws. So, it will be a while.

into the pavement according to zimmerman.

"I suspect I'll use it right up until the gun crowd stops promoting more guns and lax laws. So, it will be a while. "

We should have a sticky at the top of the group that has all of your shtick listed with a number or letter assigned to each, that way you can just insert the corresponding letter instead of typing out your entire shtick.

Do you go to free republic often? I don't.

And what kind of "bull" is that, stating what zimmerman alleges or having a sticky with all of your shtick posted in one thread?

Do they have a tacked post with all of your shtick at free republic?

18. It just shows how desperate anti-gun nuts are.

They know they can't win by arguing the law, so they must attempt to malign anyone with interest in protecting the RKBA or carrying a firearm for legitimate self-defense even down to the type of pants one might wear.

Its pathetic, but its all they have.

It's nice to finally see some nice clothing catered toward the person interested in staying safe and stylish.

Hopefully more people will consider these type garments and give companies reason to offer up more choices. Innovation in the concealed carry market is going to bring us some great products in the future.

Until now the only market that has noticed the CCWers has been the guns, ammo, & holsters makers. This is the first time that part of the non-gun market has noticed the CCWers and begun to make products for our market. As market support for CCW grows it will become more socially acceptable to have a CCW and to be armed.

The FRONTLASH is growing! Yeah!

All the other sources I've seen are cheesy companies in Gun rags. Sure it may have good function but normally look like crap or yell's "Hey look, old man with a gun!"

To make it easier for the gun control people to stop us, hold us for the cops and demand our "papers"?

I have a lot of Woolrich in the closet, with the exception of some of their better quality wool shirts that my sons and daughters "borrowed".

Now all I have to do is get Illinois to join the rest of the world. Funny how there's not a big influx of gun control supporters to the only state that doesn't allow CCW?

Might be the state income tax jumping 66% in one year and the tolls on the roads tripling, or maybe that 10% sales tax that's been "temporary" for the last 8 years. But think of how safe they'd be in gun free Chicago or East St. Louis.

16. The most important thing is the holster

IMO, the holster is more important than the clothing over it. With the proper holster, you can almost get away with wearing anything.
