Makes good sense to sell to the highest bidder.

"canned heat" in 5.56, 9mm, and .357. Reusing once fired brass provides for a 10% discount over new ammo.

At least, that's one of the irrational arguments gun culture uses to oppose micro-stamping and other attempts to track guns used in crime.

if Microstamping was used, the stamp would go on the primer. The primer is removed and replaced with a brand new primer when ammo is reloaded.

Scooping up microstamped brass fired elsewhere and leaving at the scene of a shooting is about polluting the results of microstamped guns used by the Bad Guys.

Agent Provocateur? Nothing new to see here. Complete ignorance of modern technology and the complete failure of NY's ballistic fingerprinting database. Not one single murder solved with it.

I swear some of these people are hired by the NRA to make the antis look like total loons.
