What disqualifies a citizen's right to bear arms?

Should felons have a right to bear arms?

Should persons with a mental illness have a right to bear arms?

Should children under 18 have a right to bear arms?

Should persons who feel that the government should be overthrown have a right to bear arms?

Should gang members have a right to bear\ arms?

Should criminals have a right to bear are arms?

If the answer to any of these is no, were in the following words is it written that certain persons should not have a right to bear arms?

"the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed"

If certain persons should not have the right to bear arms, there is a restriction that is not written in these words, "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed".

If there is a restriction to some person's right to bear arms that is not written in the 2nd amendment how then can it be argued that there can not be other restrictions?

Not if they have to wear striped uniforms, or those horrible orange jump suits.

13. The 14th Amendment

(From the First Section of the 14th Amendment) &quot N)or shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law."

Implicit in that statement is that someone who has had due process, namely their day in court, may have certain rights abridged. Therefore, someone who has been convicted of a crime or adjudicated mentally ill or insane may legally be denied the right to own or carry a weapon.

Beyond that, I see no Constitutional way that an adult can have his 2nd Amendment rights taken away.

I personally don't see any Constitutional argument prohibiting minors from owning or carrying weapons, which is a restriction I do support. If someone can find one, I'd love to read it.

We're allowed to have bare arms anytime we feel like it.

I'll keep it simple. People under 18 are not adults therefore they don't have the same rights. Other than that, rights can only be stripped through due process of law.
