probably most every dealer and many patrons have a loaded gun on them. I would assume the show would not want to abridge that right. The idea of unloading and reloading their personal gun at a gun show seems like a really bad idea. That is what it sounds like happened in another case. They should leave the personal gun in its holster during the show.

I almost always carry when I ride.

plastic ties will be used to prevent the arm from functioning. There are LE at the door to do this. If a tie has to be removed to check function (new mag check, parts added, ect) then the vendor is responsible for the replacement of the tie. Any person who is found to have a untied firearm is escorted to the door by LE and asked to leave.

I assume that would be in the ads for the show or common knowledge.

Ban them nau.

Firstly: Parental control. I can see teaching your kid the ropes, but do they really need to be at a gun show?
Secondly: Basic firearm safety on the part of the seller. That's the no-brainer.
Thirdly: Common sense.

I'm firmly in the RKBA side of the camp, generally, but this accident was entirely avoidable.
