Obama defends foreign policy record at VFW event in Reno

Some veterans who listened to President Barack Obama’s 31-minute speech to the Veterans of Foreign Wars National Convention in Reno on Monday said he did well enough to earn their votes.

President Barack Obama gave a 31-minute speech to the Veterans of Foreign Wars National Convention in Reno on Monday and some who listened said he did well enough to earn their votes.

About 3,500 people listened to Obama’s remarks at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.

Many of the veterans who heard the speech were impressed enough to move to the camp of the commander-in chief.

“I am a Republican by heart, but I have to say some of the comments by the president were very positive,” said retired Navy veteran Luther Sawicki.

this was a no-brainer.
Not only has President Obama made America safer since he took office, but he killed the man who was responsible for the attacks on America on September 11, 2001.

I think a greater issue in terms of veterans support is how much the VA has improved since he took office. I was on staff duty this morning when an elderly veteran came in just to chat and he made some snide comments about the media and Obama before saying "I'll give him credit though, the VA has been run the best its been since I can remember, even better than under Bush."

And this is in Kentucky.
