I may be just an old White hippie gal but I have a beautiful adopted AA grand daughter that I love just as much as the White one born into the family. They are both 13 now (gag!) and while I don't see any difference in them at all, I do see the difference in the way they are sometimes treated when I take them to the mall for shopping (more gag!). When grandma takes Miss Ebony and Miss Ivory to the mall, she usually sits on a bench somewhere very near or in what ever store they happen to be shopping in, just so I can keep a close eye on them without having to listen to the "OMGs", who is the cutest boy in "One Direction" or the latest teenage gossip. They always have plenty of money on them (grandpa is generous to his girls) and grandma always has a fist full of credit cards in each hand. I have seen the way some store employees look upon Miss Ebony, as though she is doing something suspicious and I don't like it one bit. I have never said anything to any employee, mostly because I don't want to embarrass my teen girls but I have often wondered if they notice it. I think as opposed to much posting here, I can learn much and I'd like to do that.

Ms. Ebony notices. Trust me. And she needs her kick ass grandma and sister to speak up for her.
