not just another shooting

this one is a very important event...it says a lot about the state of racial affairs in america, 2015. Even with an AA POTUS....shades of Birmingham, 1963 all over again. That bombing and this shooting show only the continuity of racist thought and action in this racist american culture. In between...1963-2015...how many UNARMED POC, men, women and CHILDREN have been targeted and killed by an assortment of 'authorities' and citizens alike? Continuity of racist thought and action...and the social comments at some of those links given that are covering this story, the same as the Birmingham bombing 1963 and worse. We didn't have internet, just word of mouth and a knowledge of what was being said in the privileged white community during that apartheid era.

My question: what should be done to stop these murders and executions? What can be done? No AG has taken this up..or been able to find civil rights violations ect, ect, ect. My POTUS, Bernie Sanders, Hilary Clinton and the rest better speak up loud and clear about the growing, again, racist nature of american privileged society.

I'm logging off for a while and NOT watching the Main Sham Media. I'm putting on some nice and easy new age...it along with certain other types of music, soothes the savage beast. I hope it works this morning.

I wish I had an answer. One thing is for sure, race has to be brought into the conversation a great deal more. Absolutely zero tolerance of hate in any setting.

that you receive special treatment by the government, which you do, of course, just not the way they think.

Your special treatment is you are arrested when whites are not for the same thing, you are denied your right to vote more often than should be tolerated for one god damn second, and you are REDLINED out of business opportunities and jobs.

The Beck's and Alex Jone's and fox's are hoping one of these shootings will force all AfAm into a war that they can then blame on AfAm

Problem with that is many white non racists will be with you, so that wont work.

Shit is gonna get worse the day the SC announces (they motherfucking better) that Gay marriage is a right.

I would like to APOLOGIZE for all white people.

You see even the most non racist, peaceful, well meaning of us, like myself, are guilty of racism and to some extension, this act of horror we just witnessed.

We are guilty because we gladly wear and use our white privilege on a daily basis.

I dont know what the answer is, but what I know is THEY want a war, and we cant give them one.

we can't give them the reason to finish their genocide with huge numbers of AA and allies dead, by the way... There are many in this land that would love to see that happen, that's the sad part. Well if I am alive when it starts, I guess I'll just have to defend myself till I drop.

Another famous transgender individual will out herself, or another white person will pretend to be black, or something else "newsworthy" will happen and this will be forgotten. I give it 3 days.

Keep in mind, they caught the guy. Next is "due process" and that takes a while. Things die down, the urgency is gone. It will get swept under the rug.

Now, what would surprise me would be if someone, be it Obama or one of the Democratic candidates, made a BIG stink about it, and decided to put "changing the racial climate in America" into their platform.

I would also bet that it will not happen, so I'm not holding my breath, but I would be happy to be surprised.

What will REALLY piss me off is if this gets used to push gun control, instead of seeing it as evidence of a growing trend in racism in our country.

is the only one to use the 'R' word(racism) today. That speaks volumes to me. Hillary and Obama spoke/addressed and tip toed around the racism word as motivation for the shooting. Haven't heard from the O'malley crew or any fucking rethug contender from the clown bus. Not unexpected. And you are right, give it a few days and it will be back to "business as usual". No doubts. There will never be a major admission by media or most major contenders for the next POTUS, of a growing problem with racism that will soon be out of hand. I feel they want it that way.

this morning. I agree with you and he spoke the god awful truth, about our and S.C. racist culture. It has not been spoken more eloquently, on air, since this tragedy occurred. Thank you. He will be missed.
