Post-Ferguson music thread

Ferguson has ignited a storm of solidarity among the rap community. In the last year and a half, there's been a plethora of music released talking about the issues of police brutality and the plight of the black community. (Not that there wasn't already, but the focus and tone is different now).

I'm posting this thread for suggestions of activist music and discussion of its impact in the hip-hop/rap community and the larger music community, as well as its impact on our socio-cultural landscape.

My first suggestion:

I love the new album from Talib Kweli and 9th Wonder. Called "Indie 500" and released two weeks ago on November 6th, it's stunning. What I really like is his willingness to deal directly with the issues. He's always been good at activist rap, but I think this collaboration is particularly good. It may just be that I feel like this music speaks to my generation, but I feel more connected with this album than with some of his previous efforts.

I highly recommend checking out this album if you haven't already.

Edit: these lines from Rapsody in "Life Ahead of Me" were great.

If they listen or pay attention, I'm in adventure, fuck you niggas
If I had a penis, your penis would be hard as a brick is
Say I'm king on some rap shit
But my gender got them tender I recognize y'all lies
