with a good number of these people about a year ago. Most of the black regulars in this forum were like because we knew these folks and we knew what they were about and couldn't understand why the hell she was befriending these people.

But a part of me knew they'd show their asses. These kinds of people ALWAYS show their behinds. And when they did, she walked away and they hate her even more for it now.

They're attempts to hurt her, to cause her pain do absolutely NOTHING but show their own dearth of humanity and character (not to mention lives). The more they attack her, the bigger asses they make of themselves.

It always bothers me - the casual unreasoning racist attitudes that people don't even seem to notice.

I'm no saint, but when told that my actions or words are hurtful, I try to think through the reasons. Too many people simply throw out a defensive denial, or worse assume that the person confronting them is a liar and is attacking them for some shady motive of their own.

When the words justice and equality were replaced with "tolerance" momentum was lost. People act like as long as we aren't actively excluding or attacking POC that shit is all good.

I feel very hurt and sad for my brothers and sisters. It pains me. But I sure as hell won't sit down and shut up. Fuck no. I won't do that.

So they are upset that she changed her mind from one candidate to another. Now they're following her around from thread to thread making all sorts of hostile posts toward her. It's incredibly disruptive. It's incredibly offensive.

I am so sorry that this is happening. As you say, the more they attack her the bigger asses they make of themselves. As much as we can say it doesn't bother us, I can honestly say that it pains me to see it.

It's tag-team bullying. For no point other than to hurt and embarrass and humiliate and make people not want to post, not want to express their thoughts or politics views or share their laughs and sorrows with others. I wish they would stop. It hurts.

She is used to being stalked because she is a powerful Black woman who speaks her mind. She is used to it just like John Lewis got used to being stalked on his Face Book page. I would say she is right up there with damn good company and just like John Lewis and others, she doesn't give one gawd damn what certain people think of her.

She's smart, funny, conversational, friendly. We here in this group liked her the moment she started posting here. I couldn't care less who she says or doesn't say she's voting for. And she doesn't treat me that way either. I'm glad I have met friendly people online here at DU. I will continue being friendly with them. That to me is just the only way I can tolerate it. Some things are just so cruel and sad I can hardly bear seeing them. I couldn't look at what happened on John Lewis' face book page. He is such a good man, so strong and dignified. I'm glad some people like him and brave have a thicker skin than me. It's really hard to take, seeing this ignorance and hurtful actions toward people who don't deserve such treatment. No one deserves such treatment.

It's pathetic.

A poster who gets a time out about every 4-6 weeks and who has a WELL ESTABLISHED reputation for being one of the nastiest, most deranged and hateful people in the history of this web site.

Another poster with a WELL ESTABLISHED history of being incredibly hostile to black people and to women, and who called another black woman a "token" because she (rightfully) called him and a bunch of his friends out on their racism.

Sometimes looking at the people making the accusation tells you all you need to know about the accusation itself.

And then to top it off in a "good bye cruel DU thread" Bravenak gets blindsided for no good reason, that thread gets locked, the poster carries it over to a group and calls Brave another name
