Related: About this forumHELP! Thanksgiving cornbread advice?
Okay since y'all have been talking about AA Thanksgiving I decided to switch up my menu to greens w/smoked hocks, cornbread and mac n' cheese.
Here's the problem tho - I lost my cast iron pan somewhere during my last move! Can I come close with some other kind of pan and/or method??

you'll just have to spray the surface with canola oil (or, vegetable oil) to keep it from sticking.
But ... for real ... don't tell nobody!
Enjoy.

preheat some shortening or lard in there though couldn't I? Get some crispy on it?

or you'll be eating corn crumbles!
