President Barack Obama recently met with civil rights leaders and Black Lives Matter activists during a Black History Month event at the White House to discuss issues including criminal justice reform and the U.S. education system. Obama praised the social justice advocates for "making history as we speak," lauding their "degree of focus and seriousness and constructiveness."
During the February 19 edition of Fox & Friends, Fox's Heather Childers reported on the meeting claiming that "the violent riots several years ago in Ferguson and Baltimore, now drawing praise from President Obama, praise." During Childer's report, the graphics displayed included videos of rioting.

(18,124 posts)And am not one of the ignorant who you think is. ALL people like this Childers person and their handlers are quite aware of what they are doing when presenting lies and distortion to the American public and a lot of black people know this person responsible for the truths in the following quotes...."I am for violence IF non-violence means we continue postponing the American black man's problem just to avoid violence"......"non-violence is fine as long as it works"........"the media's the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that's power. Because they control the minds of the masses".......;finally....."If you're not careful, the newspapers(all media)will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing"......so take your bullshit Childers and put it where the sun don't shine.

The fact that BLM is still a REGULAR topic of conversation in this forum appears to have flown over their tired, privileged little brains. They don't seem to understand that this issue is so much more important than a presidential candidate and their contention that "no one" on DU is still talking about BLM says more about them than it does anything else.
So glad to see Obama praising this group. And they deserve every bit of it. Fuck Fox.
