Aide: Blacks not trying hard enough to work with Trump

By STEVE PEOPLES, ASSOCIATED PRESS NEW YORK — Apr 27, 2017, 7:05 PM ET

President Donald Trump's liaison to the black community, the former "Apprentice" star Omarosa Manigault, says African-American activists aren't trying hard enough to work with the new administration.

The White House aide delivered the pointed message in an interview with The Associated Press in advance of an appearance Thursday at the annual convention of an activist organization founded by the Rev. Al Sharpton.

"We're here waiting, willing to work with the community," Manigault said when asked about Trump's moves to slash programs that benefit minorities. "This president wants to engage. It's not a one-way street."

She was more measured Thursday afternoon as she faced hundreds of black activists, who, like African-American voters across the nation last fall, overwhelmingly opposed Trump's presidency.

Several participants refused to utter the president's name in convention sessions, referring to the 45th president only by the number 45. Trump got just 8 percent of the African-American vote last November, according to exit polls.

This lady needs to crawl back under the rock she's been hiding under. Her uselessness is underscored by her complicity. I'm still waiting on those BIG BIG plans they had for Black History month. Oh and the HCBU's that reached out to him. What did they get for reaching out? 15% less funding than last year that's what.

You are the liaison...

That means you are supposed to be hitting the pavement on that 2 way street
drumming up some 'engagements' for your boss ...

You aren't the liaison for the field of dreams...
just because you have been hired and are sitting in your office does not mean activists are going to come seek you out...

Perhaps
you just don't know where to go to find any black activists...

what a fool. But like carson and the rest, she is just trying to keep her 'house' job on massa's plantation. She don't want to end up in the 'field' having to work sun up to sun down just to keep their life from being ended. Classic brown surrogates for the potus massa......always been here...

Like a number of modern semi-celebrities, you have achieved fame without any discernable achievement of any kind.

You are scooping up after Trump's crumbs as a ticket to some imaginary career. Remember this: Trump doesn't care about you. He doesn't care about anyone that is not him, or not a billionaire.
